This is some background information on Illinois Laws. The age of consent in Illinois is 17 years old as defined in 720 ILCS 5/11-6 with varying penalties depending upon the relative ages of the parties. The statutes of Illinois define sex these ways in 720 ILCS 5/12-12.

Sexual conduct
"means any intentional or knowing touching or fondling by the victim or the accused, either directly or through clothing, of the sex organs, anus or breast of the victim or the accused, or any part of the body of a child under 13 years of age, transfer or transmission of semen by the accused upon any part ofthe clothed or unclothed body of the victim, for the purpose of sexual gratification or arousal of the victim or the accused."
Sexual penetration
"means any contact, however slight, between the sex organ or anus of one person by an object, the sex organ, mouthor anus of another person, or any intrusion, however slight, of any partof the body of one person or of any animal or object into the sex organ or anus of another person, including but not limited to cunnilingus, fellatio or anal penetration. Evidence of emission of semen is not required to prove sexual penetration."
720 ILCS 5/11-7 Adultery
"Any person who has sexual intercourse with another not his spouse commits adultery, if the behavior is open and notorious, and the person is married and the other person involved in such intercourse is not his spouse; or the person is not married and knows that the other personinvolved in such intercourse is married." Adultery is a class A misdemeanor
720 ILCS 5/11-8 Fornication
"Any person who has sexual intercourse with another not his spouse commits fornication if the behavior is open and notorious." Fornication is a class B misdemeanor.
720 ILCS 5/11-9 Public indecency
"Any person of the age of 17 years and upwards who performs any of the following acts in a public place commits a public indecency: an act of sexual penetration or sexual conduct as defined in Section 12-12 of this Code; or a lewd exposure of the body done with intent to arouse or to satisfy the sexual desire of the person."... "'Public place' for purposes of this Section means any place where the conduct may reasonably be expected to be viewed by others." This is a class A misdemeanor.
720 ILCS 5/11-12 Bigamy
"Any person having a husband or wife who subsequently marries another or cohabits in this State after such marriage commits bigamy." Bigamy is a class 4 felony.
720 ILCS 5/11-13 Marrying a bigamist
"Any unmarried person who knowingly marries another under circumstances known to him which would render the other person guilty of bigamy under the laws of this State, or who cohabits in this State after such a marriage, commits the offense of marrying a bigamist." This is a class A misdemeanor.
720 ILCS 5/11-14 Prostitution
"Any person who performs, offers or agrees to perform any act of sexual penetration as defined in Section 12-12 of this Code for any money, property, token, object, or article or anything of value, or any touching or fondling of the sex organs of one person by another person, for any money, property, token, object, or article or anything of value, for the purpose of sexual arousal or gratification commits an act of prostitution." Prostitution is a Class A misdemeanor.
720 ILCS 5/11-14.1 Solicitation of a sexual act.
"Any person who offers a person not his or her spouse any money, property, token, object, or article or anything of value to perform any act of sexual penetration as defined in Section 12-12 of this Code, or any touching or fondling of the sex organs of one person by another person for the purpose of sexual arousal or gratification, commits the offense of solicitation of a sexual act." Solicitation of a sexual act is a Class B misdemeanor.
720 ILCS 5/11-15 Soliciting for a prostitute.
"Any person who performs any of the following acts commits soliciting for a prostitute: solicits another for the purpose of prostitution; or arranges or offers to arrange a meeting of persons for the purpose of prostitution; or directs another to a place knowing such direction is for the purpose of prostitution." Soliciting for a prostitute is a class A misdemeanor.
720 ILCS 5/11-16 Pandering.
"Any person who performs any of the following acts for any money, property, token, object, or article or anything of value commits pandering ... arranges or offers to arrange a situation in which a person may practice prostitution." Pandering by compulsion is a class 4 felony.
720 ILCS 5/11-17 Keeping a place of prostitution.
"Any person who has or exercises control over the use of any place which could offer seclusion or shelter for the practice of prostitution who performs any of the following acts keeps a place of prostitution: Knowingly grants or permits the use of such place for the purpose of prostitution; or grants or permits the use of such place under circumstances from which he could reasonably know that the place is used or is to be used for purposes of prostitution; or permits the continued use of a place after becoming aware of facts or circumstances from which he should reasonably know that the place is being used for purposes of prostitution." Keeping a place of prostitution is a class A misdemeanor.
720 ILCS 5/11-18 Patronizing a prostitute.
"Any person who performs any of the following acts with a person not his or her spouse commits the offense of patronizing a prostitute: engages in an act of sexual penetration as defined in Section 12-12 of this Code with a prostitute; or enters or remains in a place of prostitution with intent to engage in an act of sexual penetration as defined in Section 12-12 of this Code." Patronizing a prostitute is a class A misdemeanor.
720 ILCS 5/11-19 Pimping.
"Any person who receives any money, property, token, object, or article or anything of value from a prostitute, not for a lawful consideration, knowing it was earned in whole or in part from the practice of prostitution, commits pimping." Pimping is a class A misdemeanor.
720 ILCS 5/11-20 Obscenity.
"A person commits obscenity when, with knowledge of the nature or content thereof, or recklessly failing to exercise reasonable inspection which would have disclosed the nature or content thereof, he: sells, delivers or provides, or offers or agrees to sell, deliver or provide any obscene writing, picture, record or other representation or embodiment of the obscene; or presents or directs an obscene play, dance or other performance or participates directly in that portion thereof which makes it obscene; or publishes, exhibits or otherwise makes available anything obscene; or performs an obscene act or otherwise presents an obscene exhibition of his body for gain; or creates, buys, procures or possesses obscene matter or material with intent to disseminate it in violation of this Section, or of the penal laws or regulations of any other jurisdiction; or advertises or otherwise promotes the sale of material represented or held out by him to be obscene, whether or not it is obscene." Obscenity is a class A misdemeanor. A second or subsequent offense is a class 4 felony.
750 ILCS 105/1 Lewdness, public nuisance.
"All buildings and apartments, and all places, and the fixtures and movable contents thereof, used for purposes of lewdness, assignation, or prostitution, are hereby declared to be public nuisances, and may be abated as hereinafter provided. The owners, agents, and occupants of any such building or apartment, or of any such place shall be deemed guilty of maintaining a public nuisance, and may be enjoined as hereinafter provided."
750 ILCS 5/213.1 Same-Sex Marriages.
"Same-sex marriages; public policy. A marriage between 2 individuals of the same sex is contrary to the public policy of this State."
